Intensive Russian Strikes Disrupt Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has increased attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and applying penalties," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A series of attacks damaged power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy was killed and several individuals were injured.

The strikes succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the national power system, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

He said energy workers and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
